晋祠大米：产于太原晋祠镇一带，这种大米，颗粒长，个头大，外形晶莹饱满，呈半透明状，米色微褐，做出饭来颗粒分明，香气扑鼻。吃到嘴里，味香甜，有韧性、粘性，有咬头。晋祠大米所以质地优良，是由于水上关系。生产这种大米的稻田，用晋祠难老泉水浇地，这种水，水温低，含有明矾等矿物质，加之晋祠附近村庄土地肥沃，土壤呈黑色，有利于水稻生长。
